On my Monday travels to my fav stores in town, Bardot in Newport Beach, I came across a fabulous find for a client. I was trying to find her a leather pant within her budget, seeing as most leather pants can break the bank! Current Elliot, the brand favored by Sarah Jessica Parker and Jessica Alba among other “A-list” celebs, came out with a coated denim jean –the Ankle Skinny Coated Jean. I picked it up and thought for sure it was leather!! I was shocked at the $188.00 price point! Love the fit of Current Elliot as well as the tapered line of the jean. I created 3 different looks around that one awesome piece.
Look 1: Fall is here! Chocolate brown leather jeans paired with a chunky cream knit and booties take you to a day at the pumpkin patch or a Saturday soccer game.
Look 2: One cannot go wrong pairing leather (or coated denim) with silk and various textures. I love the look of chocolate brown with a pattern silk sleeve. Casual yet elegant and edgy if you pair with a heel.
Look 3: is what I call day into evening wear. Paired with a tailored navy blazer (Reese and Riley) you are ready for a day at the office, but transition beautifully into cocktails or dinner by removing jacket and wearing your Clover Canyon silk halter top underneath. FYI- Reese Riley and Clover Canyon my 2 fav designers. The celebs love them as do I!
