Just because you are a new mommy, please don’t lose your style! I know how challenging it can be this time of year to stay current with your wardrobe when facing all the issues new motherhood presents. Besides the exhaustion, and lack of time to even shower, there are body changes that occur making it difficult to find anything other than sweatpants to wear for your daily uniform. Let’s face it, you are dealing with a larger waist than normal, a larger bust than normal and very signifiant time constaints! Here are some easy holiday looks and tips to help new mommies navigate through this holiday season with ease!

Start with a great pant. I love the harem look such as these ALC slouchy harem pants. Drawstring and elastic are your new best friends.

Style with a simple blouse, loose fitting such as this ALC cotton one for example. Accentuate your arms and cover your waist! Hide those muffin tops!

Feeling bold this season? Try the trendy track pant, again with elastic waist, as shown here by Roberto Rodriguez in distressed sequin. Make a statement with your fabric in a loose silhouette.  You might want to pair with a  looser fitting black tunic top as well.

Another variation of an easy pant to work around. I love these silk Felicity drawstring pants. A chunky black sweater and heels and you have an effortless, chic look for the right occasion.

When thinking tops, please think loose! Tunics are a great option. Pick a holiday fabric such as this Gucci metallic that pairs so nicely over even a black legging and a flat riding boot.

Sweaters are another great option for holiday dressing. Usually more forgiving and try to choose a piece that takes the emphasis away from those problem areas. I like this ALC sweater for the open back detail.

One cannot think of holiday time without thinking dresses! By far the best choice when it comes to effortless dressing. This Kaufman Franco asymmetrical dress is beyond chic! Add chunky gold bracelet and you have a go-to dress for almost any soiree.

This Ramy Brooks silk halter dress is a nice option since it is loose fitting, and again we are accentuating the shoulders with the high neckline. Accentuate the positive and minimize the negative!

BCBGMaxAzaria wows us with this flowy high-low dress. Again, easy silhouette yet detail in the lace insert and lace back. Lace is an important trend for holiday and this dress captures it with a very forgiving design.

This is by far the easiest way to freshen your look for the holiday. Wear black leggings, black sweater and throw on this Eileen Fisher poncho, a pair of boots and you haven’t lost an ounce of style as a new mommy!

We all know how I feel about FUR!!! When in doubt, put on a fur vest! You will immediately update any look you have on underneath! I choose this for new moms as your single go-to piece in your holiday wardrobe. Very flattering, hiding our secrets and very functional as well.

My final tip for holiday dressing for new moms is accessorize! Your new bundle of joy cannot be your only accessory! Add a fabulous statement necklace as shown above or a great cocktail ring. Accentuate the positive and direct the eye away from areas we don’t want to focus on!

Happy Holidays and remember, Happiness is always in style….!
